Across the Narrows Bridge on the Key Peninsula you'll find Gig Harbor; A small town with scenic views and a welcoming neighborly feel. Gig Harbor is full of fun festivals and more community events than can be named; Including, free summer concerts and movies, a beer festival, art festival, wine and food festival, even a lighted boat parade during the holiday season. For those that like to shop there are plenty of unique galleries and boutiques in the downtown area along the waterfront. Also located within Gig Harbor are many parks (even a BMX park) and beaches. Kopachuck State Park offers a sandy beach with swimming, boating, fishing, clamming, and crabbing. Across the water from Kopachuck, is Cutts Island State Park. This park can only be reached by water, and during low tide in early summer/fall seal pups can be seen resting here. Gig Harbor is also surrounded by top-ranked golf courses; and home to Canterwood Golf & Country Club, which features a world-class golf course that has been rated one of the top 10 in the state.
